Letter to Palm Beach Post

When are you (editors) going to take down this trash? Sorry for the link

I'd expect a major correction and apology for allowing something this slanderous to be posted on your website.

Snow

Expecting 4-7" this weekend (starting tomorrow evening through Monday); so we may actually get some of the white stuff.
From Christmas; but could be more this week

Angi went to WalMart and said they are basically out of everything (we only needed some beer and a mini-heater for the cat heh).

Prayers go out to the family and friends of the people involved in the shooting in Arizona today; my understanding is a federal judge and a nine year old girl are dead while 4 others were wounded (including the congresswoman who was in critical condition after being shot in the head).

While the perp was caught (other people are of interest); I hope the police diligently get to the bottom of the whole sordid thing and get everyone responsible.

Friends n Feeds

Got some good friends coming over tonight to drink a little and play some Black Ops :)

Trying to incorporate some feeds into the blog system (from BlogOverdrive) but have as yet not figured out how to get the links to show with the feed (in contact with support on that) so that news (various) will be posted a couple of times each day even if I don't have time/inclination to post.

Great football this weekend with a few more college games to go and the NFL playoffs set.  Hopefully Arkansas and Auburn can uphold the SEC this coming week (and Kentucky, but meh).

Dallas didn't make the playoffs, so it's time to root for Indy and Peyton :)

Daily Pundit's Predictions

Bill Quick has his predictions for the year up (here):
9. California will experience what would be called “sovereign default” if it were an independent nation.
10. There will be an effort to recall Jerry Brown - from the left!
11. Major rioting will hit Los Angeles as the city, county, and state drastically scale back welfare programs at every level.
12. Mike Bloomberg will begin a run for the White House. Within three months he will end it.
13. The Supreme Court will strike down the individual mandate requirement of Obamacare after taking up the case on an expedited review basis, at the request of all sides.
I agree with some...1, 2, and 3 are locks (imo) and 4 I would have to bet against.  5, 6 and 8 I would say yea; 7 no; 9, 11, 12, 13 lock; 10 doubtful; 14, 15, 17, 18 agree; 16 not; 20 lock, 19, 21 not so much.

Of course he actually made predictions; I didn't, so take that grain of salt :)

First Day

First full day of the new year and I had to work :)  So there was no partying for me.  Lots of exciting bowl games today and not much going on at work until lunch then it got busy as hell, but overall it was a good day.

Angi is getting over her surgery (more on that at a later date) and the move is almost complete (one more load or so from Decatur and then turning off cable/power to the old apartment).  The kids start the new school Monday and they seem excited so everything is looking up for the future.

Two more work days until I get off for two then midnights; going to attempt to work more overtime this year (need the money heh) living so close and all; but probably need to finish up next week on the move and all, so I'll be working even if I'm not working.

Playing a lot of Black Ops on the Xbox 360 (Lord Nazh if anyone plays, send me a friend request) and still like it.  Never cared much for fps (first-person shooters) but after I got the hang of playing MW2, Black Ops was a natural extension.  Still get majorly frustrated at the game play at times (and the insane respawn) but it does help to collect thoughts and stop the mind from wandering :)

Long rambling post saying not much at all; but this year I'm going to attempt to be a blogger again ... not sure if I'll go back to politics/news or just ramble, but I'll definitely post more.
